Abstract
The article reviews discourse on “New Soviet Woman” afterwards of the October Revolution, which can be characterized as hybrid. The article discusses the following issues: what it was officially expected from the “New Soviet Woman”; the contradictions towards those expectations and unacceptability even from party members - both in Georgian and Russian contexts; how the “New Soviet Woman” was represented in Russian and Georgian soviet silent films.
